Lip gloss is a cosmetic that gives your lips that glossy and shimmery tint. Lip gloss is usually used as a liquid in a bottle and also in a plastic, squeezable tube. Chap Stick or lip balm is not the same thing as lip gloss. Lip balm is used to moisturize your lips while lip gloss just makes your lips shiny. Lip gloss may also be translucent (clear) or colorful. Usually lip gloss is different shades of pinks and light reds. There are many different ways to apply your lip gloss. Lip gloss may come in a bottle where you use a brush to apply it to your lips. Lip gloss may also be squeezed out of a tube and directly onto your lips. Lip gloss is used instead of lipstick if you would like to add some color to your lips. Lipstick is used to add a lot of color to your lips, and lipstick usually comes in darker shades. It is recommended that teenagers do not wear lipstick too often because it may make the person look older than they really are. If you want to look your age, lip gloss is probably the right way to go.
