Purpose of Makeup

The purpose of applying makeup every day is to define the beauty of the person, and to perfect the image of them by covering up the blemishes that may appear. When you use makeup, you want to use the colors that may express your skin tone or your eyes. However, you do not want to overuse your makeup because you do not want to look like a doll. Also, makeup is not supposed to be used to hide the physical features you dislike about yourself. For example, often some apply a thick layer of foundation to hide their freckles. Freckles may define who you are, and you were made that way. I remember a girl who used to cover up all her freckles because she thought they were ugly. Once, she was walking with her boyfriend, and her boyfriend happened to notice that she covered up her freckles. He then told her that he loved her freckles and that she should not cover them up because she looked beautiful with them. This shows that people love you for who you are. Makeup just helps show how beautiful you really are. But remember, true beauty is what is on the inside.
